Trend - More homes are staging their patios because outdoor entertainment has grown tremendously in
popularity.
WIND can be a real problem when staging an outdoor patio table. Glass items that have small bases, fragile
accessory pieces and tall ones, are subject to falling over from a breeze or wind. At times we can weight these
items down by putting something heavy in them, likes rocks, metal bearings or marbles. Not all items lend
themselves to this, so we need another way of securing them without damaging them.
The answer may be to use Museum wax or putty. Museums worry about earthquakes and people knocking over
their pieces, so they use special products that won't damage the pieces and yet allow them to be moved about.
Museum wax, which can be purchased at Lowes and other home centers, is an example of products that are
available. A word of caution. There is Museum wax, gel, putty, etc. - make sure that you choose one that is
compatible with the materials being used, i.e. wood, metal or glass.

Stagers use Museum Wax
Surfers use sex wax on their surf boards. Even if it didn't work, I think they would
keep using it just because the name catches their attention. Stagers use another
form of wax, called Museum Wax.
